Pelau Pictures is a new and creative film and video company offering a diverse range of content that represents the multiculturalism of Trinidad & Tobago.  Based in a country with a rich melange of ethnic groups and cultures, Pelau Pictures embraces the influence of the island's cultural uniqueness and focuses on stories that promote its multicultural folklore and heritage.

This young and vibrant company is helmed by Cecile George, a screenwriter who spent over a decade working in the New York film industry on everything from student to indie to major Hollywood films.

After several decades in the US, Cecile returned to her home country to continue honing her writing skills while rediscovering and engaging with the small but passionate local film and arts community.  With Pelau Pictures, she currently has several feature scripts in progress that explore various aspects of the country's history and oral traditions.
