14-year-old JAQUAN is a talented artist living in the rough East Port of Spain area with his father, LENNOX. Jaquan has a disturbing secret — a monster that stalks his dreams and now consumes his art.
One morning, on his way to an art session, Jaquan encounters a group of gang-bangers who harrass him until their leader, WIFE-BEATER, focuses their attention on an important potential job. A traumatised Jaquan escapes to the park where he sketches till sundown.
Realising how late it is, he hurries to get home before Lennox returns from work. But as Jaquan's about to turn the corner, he's cut down in a sudden hail of bullets, collateral damage courtesy of SLIPPERS, the youngest gang member. Dismayed, but intrigued by Jaquan's artwork, Slippers snatches a sheet with the monster drawing and returns to his gang in disgrace.
While they're hiding out at a junkyard that night, Wife-beater threatens to kill Slippers for costing them their payday by missing the real target. Slippers is terrified, but not half as scared as he's going to be when Jaquan's monster comes alive, seeking revenge...
