Xiomara is an ambitious teen kung fu student whose Sifu has mandated that in order to represent the country in Wushu at the Youth Olympics, all black-belt contenders must use their training in service to society.

 

The country is currently plagued by mutated mosquitoes from outer space that are immune to traditional bug sprays and repellents. People are dying by the hundreds from the diseases they spread, and the streets are totally empty between dusk and dawn. The economy is in crisis because there’s no night-time commerce or festivities—people are out of work and going hungry.

The mosquito bites also contain deadly venom that can paralyse and kill a grown human within 30 seconds, but Xiomara has decided that to gain her black belt and avenge her goldfish who died from the mosquito-borne-fever, her public service will be to rid her country of the creatures

​

Armed with SCRAM—a new-formulated insect repellent— her  inhaler, and a bunch of electric flyswatters, Xio wades into the mosquito's countryside lair and takes them on with all her fighting skill. 

​

But when the Queen attacks, Xio is forced on the defensive. And after she's bitten, she's in a race against time to kill the Queen and destroy the colony before she succumbs to the venom.
